Overview

Chronicle of Whispers (COW) is a growing collection of open-source tools for pen-and-paper and tabletop campaigns. The focus is the game table with a screen: maps and campaign knowledge live in Obsidian, while the party sees them live on a shared display.

The quickest start

Principles

  • Local-first: campaign data stays in your vault as .samap files.
  • Open source: code and licence (GPL-3.0-or-later) are fully public.
  • For the game table: the table view runs in any browser on your local network, no installation needed.
  • Desktop-first: Shadow Atlas only runs on the Obsidian desktop client.
